Key Responsibilities -
Safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed treatments
-
Perform radiation therapy procedures in accordance with physician orders and treatment plans
-
Conduct pre-treatment preparations including simulations and fabrication of immobilization devices
-
Perform daily Quality Assurance (QA) checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators
-
Accurately document treatments patient positioning and care coordination in EMR systems
-
Educate and support patients to ensure a compassionate and positive treatment experience
-
Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
-
Participate in on-call rotation as required
-
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations
Requirements -
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program

Certification: ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
-
Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico
-
CPR Certification: Current certification required
-
Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 3 5 years preferred

Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and equipment operation

Ability to handle radiation sources safely and competently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications -
Experience in patient education and care coordination

Proficiency with advanced radiation therapy technologies

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
