Radiation Therapist Contract Assignment Rockford IL

We are hiring an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week contract at a high-volume cancer center in Rockford Illinois.

Assignment Details

Location: Rockford IL
Duration: 13 weeks (May 26 August 22 2026)
Shift: 8-hour Days (Monday Friday shifts vary between 8:00 AM 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
On-call: None
Local candidates: Only local candidates will be considered for this role.

This position is ideal for a therapist who can work independently and multitask in a busy clinical setting managing a daily volume of approximately 64 68 patients.

Key Responsibilities

Operate treatment units to deliver accurate radiation therapy to a high volume of patients.
Utilize Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE linear accelerators.
Manage patient flow across two treatment units within the cancer center.
Maintain precise documentation using ARIA record and verify (upgrading to v18.1).
Work collaboratively with the oncology team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in mid-to-large hospital settings.
Proficiency with Varian equipment (TrueBeam/EDGE) and ARIA systems.
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
