For accurate salary information call or email The Puyallup Tribe of Indians provides a generous benefits package that includes employer paid medical dental vision life insurance a retirement/401(k) plan with profit sharing paid holidays and paid time off including birthday Summary: Under the direction of the Puyallup Tribal Language Program Director the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and completing Lushootseed projects internally and externally from initiation to completion ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop comprehensive project plans timelines and budgets for internal and external Lushootseed projects and ensure alignment with program goals and with Puyallup Tribal departments and enterprises to carry out Language Program initiatives (i.e. EQC Puyallup Enterprises etc.)Work with external partners and entities on Language projects (i.e. WSDOT City of Tacoma etc.)Work in a respectful and culturally sensitive approach to Language Program events that promote and support Lushootseed projects. Assists in grant application process and the timely completion of each grant for Lushootseed projects. This includes working with the Grants department on applications writing reports tracking data and department outcomes and ensuring the departments meet all expected collaboratively with multiple parties and entities to execute project schedules timelines and grant funded and tribally funded material creation (i.e. language books park signs etc.).Coordinate with vendors for events and projects including gathering quotes managing communication and presenting and lead project teams effectively by scheduling meetings providing direction motivation and support to ensure team unity and Language Program Director with project updates grant reporting and status reports. Attends and participates in required staff meetings and other activities and events deemed necessary. Must complete a Level 1 txʷəlsucid Language proficiency (Non-Credentialed) in a one-year period of employment with the Language Program. Language SkillsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community. Ability to communicate effectively in person by phone in writing or other. Ability to read and comprehend instructions correspondence and SkillsAbility to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to utilize technology and software as it pertains to program operations and language RequirementsCertification in a related field is a knowledge in commonly used Project Manager requirement of examples of 5 completed projects that met the projected organizational be able to pass a background have and maintain a valid and unrestricted Washington State drivers license.
