We work across refugee and asylumseeking communities culturally and linguistically diverse communities people with disability and children and young people driven by a strong commitment to equity inclusion and social are seeking a highly accomplished Head of OCEO Secretariat to provide strategic organisational and executive support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Office of the CEO (OCEO). This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of a complex purposedriven organisation with a national footprint and significant government sector and community opportunityReporting directly to the CEO the Head of OCEO Secretariat acts as the central coordination point for all work flowing in and out of the Office of the CEO ensuring the CEO is consistently wellbriefed wellsupported and positioned to lead effectively both internally and role partners closely with the CEOs Executive Assistant Executive Leadership Team Policy Research and Advocacy functions and senior leaders across SSI to deliver highquality briefing materials strategic analysis governance support and organisational alignmentKey responsibilitiesIn this senior leadership role you will:Lead strategic prioritisation and agenda management for the Office of the CEO coordinating workflows forward planning and executive rhythmsPrepare and qualityassure highlevel briefs speeches talking points and policy analyses for the CEOs participation in government sector and advisory forumsProvide executive governance support including synthesising Board and committee papers drafting CEO submissions and leading the CEOs quarterly Board reportStrengthen external engagement and policy influence by coordinating followups maintaining relationships and supporting evidencebased advocacyDrive internal alignment communication and culture supporting CEOled forums town halls and senior leadership engagementsLead and develop a highperforming valuesled team within the Office of the CEOExercise due diligence as an Officer under WHS legislation rolemodelling safe inclusive and ethical leadershipAbout youYou are a strategic calm and highly credible executive professional with:710 years experience providing senior policy strategic or executive support in complex organisations (government NGO human services or similar)Demonstrated experience supporting CEOs or equivalent senior leaders including Boardlevel engagementExceptional executive communication skills including briefing speechwriting and synthesising complex informationDeep understanding of government processes policy cycles and social policy environmentsStrong governance capability and the ability to align executive Board and organisational prioritiesHigh emotional intelligence people leadership capability and a valuesled inclusive leadership styleA Masters degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)You are known as a trusted advisor natural connector and steady presence under pressure with a strong sense of integrity and stewardship aligned to SSIs mission and our BenefitsSalary packaging options to receive up to $15900 of your salary tax-free meaning more take-home pay!Industry leading hybrid and flexible working arrangement supporting work from home and office including the opportunity of a 9-day fortnightAccess to in-house training and learning opportunities for professional development and to our inhouse wellbeing programsWorking alongside professional and dedicated team members all wanting to make a difference in our our Recruitment ProcessAt SSI we have a zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation where protecting children and preventing and responding to child abuse is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of all employees contractors and volunteers.
