Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)- Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week travel assignment in Abilene TX.
Contract Details
- Days 8 hr days - 40 hrs guaranteed
- Start Date: 4/13/2026
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Location: Abilene TX
- Treatment Implementation: Executes specialized therapy plans designed by the OT guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination.
- ADL Training: Teaches patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing and eating often using adaptive techniques.
- Adaptive Equipment: Instructs patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers mobility aids or modified kitchen utensils.
- Monitoring and Documentation: Records detailed notes on patient progress behavioral changes and safety concerns reporting these findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Education and Support: Provides emotional encouragement to patients and trains caregivers on how to assist with home programs.
- Operational Tasks: Prepares treatment areas cleans equipment and may handle administrative duties like scheduling and billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- diagnoses treats and develops customized rehabilitation plans for patients with injuries or chronic conditions to improve movement reduce pain and restore function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Document accurately and comply with facility policies and protocols
- Maintain patient safety infection prevention and regulatory compliance
- Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate.
- Directs support staff in the provision of care. Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years OTA experience in LTC setting is required
- TX or compact license is required
- DOR experience is preferred
- State License Requirements Texas(Compact Allowed)
- Strong communication professionalism and reliability
Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start):
- Drug screen and background check (facility required)
- Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
