SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER / C# (HYBRID LISBON)

Location: LisbonPortugal

Your Role
As a Senior Developer you will be part of a multidisciplinaryteam (Java & C#) responsible for the development maintenance andevolution of core trading systems.
You will work on core services shared libraries feedhandlers reporting tools and front-end components contributing directlyto mission-critical applications in the FX domain.
This is a Front Office role requiring strongtechnical expertise business understanding and the ability to operate in a fast-pacedhigh-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core application services and components
- Analyze and implement new features and enhancements
- Work on low-latency high-performance systems
- Contribute to shared libraries feed handlers and reporting tools
- Collaborate with traders support teams and developers
- Participate in code analysis debugging and refactoring initiatives
- Balance development tasks with production support activities
- Engage in agile development processes
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in:
- Java (Core multithreading low latency performance optimization)
- C# (hands-on experience)
- Experience with:
- Distributed systems / high-load architectures
- Electronic trading platforms (preferred)
- Oracle Coherence (nice to have)
- Familiarity with:
- Agile methodologies
- Migration / refactoring projects
- Ability to work across multiple programming languages when needed
Functional Knowledge
- Solid understanding of FX Products and trading flows (mandatory)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Profile
- 5 years of software development experience
- 2 years as a Tech Lead / Team Lead
- Experience in Front Office or high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive resilient and results-oriented mindset
