The Opportunity

Were looking for an Controller who thrives in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a real impact. This isnt your typical corporate controller roleyoull have the autonomy to identify problems implement solutions and build processes from the ground up across multiple entities. Youll work directly with leadership including our fractional CFO and play a critical role in professionalizing our financial operations while maintaining the agility that got us here.

What Youll Do

Financial Oversight & Quality Control

• Oversee and review work from our external bookkeeper ensuring accurate transaction coding and catching errors before they compound across multiple entities

• Serve as the quality control layer between day-to-day bookkeeping and executive financial reporting

Full-Cycle Controller Operations

• Own the complete AP cycle: invoice processing vendor management and bill pay across all entities

• Own the complete AR cycle: invoicing collections and customer inquiries

• Oversee and manage intercompany processes across our company structure ensuring accurate eliminations and reliable consolidated financial reporting.

Month-End Close & Reporting

• Lead month-end close processes including reconciliations accruals and journal entries

• Prepare timely accurate financial statements for each operating entity and consolidated reports

• Collaborate with our fractional CFO on management reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify process gaps and implement improvementsyoull have the autonomy to fix whats broken

• Build scalable accounting processes that can support our continued growth

• Enhance our QuickBooks Online infrastructure to support multi-entity operations

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 3-6 years of controller experience preferably in dynamic or multi-entity environments

• QuickBooks Online proficiency (you should be able to train others)

• Demonstrated experience with intercompany transactions and multi-entity environments

• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of processes end-to-end

• Strong attention to detail with an investigative mindsetyou dont just record transactions you understand them

• Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in an environment where processes are still being built

Nice to Have

• Experience in a growth-stage company or building/improving accounting processes from scratch

• CPA or CPA candidate

• Experience supervising bookkeepers or junior accounting staff

• Familiarity with process documentation and internal controls

• Growth mindset with aspirations of becoming a Controller as we scale

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $95000 - $115000 (commensurate with experience)

Plus: Comprehensive benefits package
