Job Summary
IDEXX is growing rapidly and our New Product Development Team is seeking to hire aSenior Lab Technicianin the Assay Design & Development this role you will perform a variety of scientific activities to support the design development and characterization of new products and reagent processes. You will join a scientifically diverse team including staff with expertise in biochemistry analytical chemistry molecular biology and protein expression and purification. You will support the execution of experiments to accelerate our rich pipeline of new products and technologies. We invite applicants with a range of relevant educational and work experience.
What will you do
Perform a variety of established procedures and test protocols for new and existing products
Manage lab inventory procure supplies and stock shelves
Maintain lab equipment
Support and maintain various systems and sample databases
Assist with writing SOPs
What do you need to succeed
2-4 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required; an associate degree or equivalent is preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules standard operating procedures (SOPs) material safety data sheets (MSDSs) operating and maintenance instructions and technical procedures
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong initiative and followthrough
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team
Previous laboratory or clinic experience is preferred

Hourly rate: $26.00/hr
