Job Summary:
The Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac vascular and radiology procedures. This role requires strong clinical expertise in a fast-paced procedural environment ensuring safe high-quality patient care before during and after procedures.
Unit: Interventional / Cardiac / Vascular
Schedule & Shifts:

Day shifts with varied start times (8- or 10-hour shifts)

40 hours per week
-
On-call requirement: 1 2 days per week and rotating weekend call (every 2 3 weeks)

Holiday call coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform patient assessments and provide care throughout the peri-procedural process

Assist physicians during interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations angiography vascular interventions and interventional radiology procedures

Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data using specialized equipment

Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as pacemaker insertions and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement

Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of cath lab and radiology equipment

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Adhere to infection control safety standards and regulatory requirements

EMR: Meditech / EPIC

Monitoring: Sensis

Imaging Equipment: Siemens
-
Labs: 2 procedure rooms

Call Team: 4-person team
Qualifications:
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirements apply)

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an interventional cath lab setting

Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification

Strong knowledge of cardiac vascular and interventional radiology procedures

Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and radiologic imaging processes

Ability to work in a high-acuity fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in interventional radiology cardiac catheterization or radiology nursing

Familiarity with CT MRI Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine procedures

Must be available to start as scheduled including pre-employment health clearance requirements

Flexibility to meet call and scheduling needs including weekends and holidays
