This is a key role within our Finance function responsible for the accuracy integrity and compliance of our financial information. From statutory audit leadership to management reporting and continuous process improvement youll play a critical part in shaping the financial foundations that support Bluefields success.
What youll be doing
Management Reporting
- Lead the delivery of monthly and quarterly management accounts including P&L balance sheet cashflow KPIs and dashboards.
- Produce highquality variance analysis commentary and insight for senior leadership and Board reporting.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between actuals budgets forecasts and reforecasting cycles.
- Drive improvements in reporting tools and analytics to support faster clearer and more robust decision-making
Financial Accounting Month End & Quarter End Close
- Own and lead the full monthly and quarterly close cycles ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
- Prepare and review journals accruals prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and drive high standards of balance sheet governance.
- Continuously enhance close processes to improve efficiency accuracy and control.
Audit & Statutory Compliance
- Lead the annual statutory accounts preparation and coordinate the endtoend external audit process.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors ensuring a smooth and wellcontrolled audit experience.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and all regulatory standards.
- Support the preparation and review of tax workings liaising with external tax advisors as required.
- Strengthen internal controls financial policies and documentation.
Compliance Controls & Process Improvement
- Oversee adherence to internal controls governance frameworks and process standards.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes increase automation and enhance data integrity.
- Contribute to system improvements and accounting/reporting tool development.
- Support broader risk management and compliance activities.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support
- Build strong relationships across functional teams to embed financial discipline and improve data quality.
- Provide technical accounting guidance in a clear accessible way.
- Communicate financial information confidently to both finance and nonfinance stakeholders.
Leadership
- Lead support and develop team members fostering a culture of accountability accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Oversee workload planning and ensure highquality delivery across core financial accounting activities.
