Notice of Administrative Vacancy School Year

POSITION: Rossford Elementary SchoolAssistant Principal

Rossford Schools is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educational leader to serve as the Assistant Principal of Rossford Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Rossford Elementary serves approximately 820 students in preschool through grade 5. The assistant principal will support a learning community committed to helping students be Respectful Responsible and Ready while working to prepare inspire and empower all students to achieve success. This role will support the principal in aligning school leadership with district priorities focused on student experience community partnerships clear communication and responsible stewardship of resources.

Contract: Administrative 250 days per year
Deadline to Apply: March 27 2026
Salary: Will be negotiated based on experience.

Position Overview

The Rossford Elementary Assistant Principal supports instructional and operational leadership to promote high expectations for student learning positive student development and effective school systems. The assistant principal works collaboratively with the principal to support staff maintain a safe and respectful school environment and build strong relationships with students families and the community.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Educational Administration or a related field

  • Appropriate Ohio Principal Certification/Licensure

  • Deepunderstanding of educational policies curriculum and instructional practices

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong organizational problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership & Student Achievement

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of school improvement goals aligned to district priorities and student needs

  • Assist in supporting high-quality instruction through curriculum alignment effective instructional practices and use of student learning data

  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen assessment practices and progress monitoring

  • Promote a culture of academic excellence innovation and continuous improvement

School Culture Student Support & Safety

  • Support the maintenance of a safe respectful learning environment with consistent implementation of student behavior expectations

  • Assist in addressing the social emotional and academic needs of students through effective systems and interventions

  • Help ensure school-wide practices support attendance engagement and positive student behavior

  • Support student discipline processes in alignment with district expectations

Staff Leadership Supervision & Development

  • Assist in supervising and evaluating faculty and staff; provide feedback and support to improve practice

  • Support professional learning aligned to school and district goals

  • Foster collaboration and positive staff culture

  • Assist with staff recruitment onboarding and retention efforts

Operations Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Support day-to-day school operations including scheduling supervision and building management

  • Assist in maintaining efficient systems that maximize instructional time

  • Support responsible use of resources aligned to school needs

Family & Community Partnerships

  • Build positive relationships with families and community stakeholders

  • Communicate effectively with families through clear timely and consistent outreach

  • Support opportunities for family engagement and school-community collaboration

Compliance & Professional Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with educational laws district policies and state regulations

  • Maintain accountability for student outcomes and school expectations

  • Fulfill responsibilities as outlined in the applicable job description including other duties as assigned by the Principal Superintendent or designee
