Position Overview:
TheHigh School EngineeringInternshipwill work alongside experiencedengineersto learnengineering related skills and perform engineering-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with experienced engineers to learn and practice engineering skills.
Assistwith real engineering projects completing assigned taskson-time.
Evaluate datafrom manufacturing processes and provide recommendations.
Collaborate with other associates to understand opportunities for engineering improvements and enhancements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following Shaw Industries safety standards.
Participate in job shadowing and hands-on training sessions to develop technical skills.
Document workperformedand report issues to supervisors as needed.
Qualifications:
Graduating high school senior who is completing high school in May 2027.
Successfully completed a technical or vocational programwhile in high school(preferred focus:Engineering Engineering Drafting & Design orrelated field).
Strong interest inpursuing an engineering degree in college; desire to be anengineeras aprofessional(post-high school).
Basic computer skills.
Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial setting.
Good communicationskills and willingness to learn.
Must be at least 17 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Schedule:
Part-time hours.Typically15-20hours per week.
