Job Summary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Paraprofessional Certification Training that meets NCLB requirements
OR minimum two years of study at institution of higher learning
(48 collegehours) and/or Associate Degree required.
Experience: Educational Aide experience preferred
Licenses/Other:Eligible for state Paraprofessional Certification or such alternatives as may be
acceptable to the district. Documentation of Highly Qualified status.
Provide students withappropriate instruction tohelp students fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
- Perform clerical duties for the professional staff
- Conduct learning reinforcement activities under the direction of the professional teacher
- Care for the personal social educational and health needs as required by professional staff
- Assist with and assume duties that will relieve professional staff
- Other duties as assigned by the principal
