Fotonais currently seeking aField Service Engineer based out of the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey area. The primary responsibilityof the Field Service Engineeris to provide exceptionaltechnical service and support to Fotonas customers inthe East Coast and across the United States. Fast courteous and professional customer interactions and solid technical skills are of the utmost importance. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing and documenting laser installationspreventive maintenance and repairs toFotonas medical and dental laser systemsaccurately and efficiently responding to customer inquiries regarding error codes andorders and providing management with daily communications regarding service orders. Training on our laser systems will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently performcomplex troubleshooting and repairs while working within the established procedures (training provided).
  • Instruct customers and staff in applications and operations of the equipment (training provided).
  • Submit timely and accurateservice reports timesheets expense reports and other paperwork as required.
  • Self-manage ensuring workload is managed to meet the needs of customersin a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper compliance with applicable FDA regulations provided by the company.
  • Ensure effective accurate and prompt handling of ALL customer needs in a professional and systematic manner.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Fotona team members across departments to maintain a positive productive work environment for all employees.
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors and represent Fotona with integrity at all times.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Associates or Technical Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Education or experience withphotonics electronics biomedical engineering or similar preferred.
  • Customer service and/or field serviceexperience is a strongplus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Clear and friendly communication style with excellent command of English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to write correspondence and emails to customers.
  • Natural technical aptitude and ability to read interpret and follow technical documents (instructions manuals etc.)
  • Work well as a team member and independently with minimal or no supervision.
  • Microsoft Office Excel Outlook and Word skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travelup to 75%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to not on a daily basis ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs. occasionally ability to push/pull very heavy equipment on wheels/casters.
  • Ability to stand lift push/pull bend squat stretch reach twist/turn walk and reach throughout the dayability to work at a computer and sit and/or drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to analyze test and repair electronic equipment.
