Job Summary
Legal Billing Specialist

We are searching for a Legal Billing Specialist / E-Billing Appeals in Los Angeles CA. We are looking for someone with 3 years of legal billing experience to support the finance team and work closely with the Director of Finance in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
Duties:
Manage time entry and billing for hourly flat-fee and contingency matters
Prepare prebills final invoices billing adjustments and write-offs
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines including LEDES and UTBMS codes
Handle e-billing submissions appeals and tracking through platforms such as CounselLink Legal Tracker and Serengeti
Review time entries and narratives for accuracy and compliance
Reconcile billing discrepancies and support accounts receivable and payment applications
Assist with month-end billing cycles and maintain billing records
Requirements:
3 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment
Proficiency with Aderant/Sierra or similar billing software (e.g. Elite 3E Elite Enterprise or ProLaw)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of e-billing platforms and outside counsel billing guidelines
Excellent attention to detail communication and organizational skills
Finance or Accounting degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience in high-volume or multi-office firm environments
Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range is $70000

This is a full-time on-site hourly non-exempt position with a work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday Friday.
