Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to plan design and oversee construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently safely and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design plan and supervise construction projects
- Prepare engineering drawings specifications and cost estimates
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Liaise with contractors architects and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Review project plans and technical documents
- Identify and resolve design and construction challenges
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and industry standards
- Prepare reports on project status risks and performance
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum of 35 years relevant work experience
- Professional certification or registration (e.g. COREN) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and engineering principles
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and project management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
