Job Summary

Position Overview & Responsibilities
The OMRF Research Caf offers a convenient and welcoming space for employees and visitors to enjoy meals snacks and drinks throughout the workday. Were looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment brings a friendly and customer-focused attitude and takes pride in being efficient reliable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing hot and cold food quickly and efficiently handling the grill and charbroiled station.
  • Performing detail and general cleaning.
  • Setting up and breaking down events held on-site.
  • Caring for and maintaining non-food inventory supplies and equipment.
  • Stocking supplies running the cash register and washing dishes.
  • Assisting with menu planning including daily and weekly specials.
  • Maintaining a welcoming and customer service-oriented attitude toward customers.
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen skills.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Organized multitasker follows directions shows initiative and works independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma GED or equivalent preferred.
  • A valid OKC Certified Food Service Operator Certificate is a plus.
  • 2 years of back-of-house or kitchen experience.

Work Hours
Typically 30 hours per week Monday Friday 9AM-3PM with occasional additional hours for events (advance notice provided).

Work Conditions
Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) will be required with or without reasonable accommodation.
