Position Summary:

Provides strategic leadership for Swagelok Global Contract Accounts by setting direction and driving initiatives that accelerate distributor sales growth and long-term retention. Leads the negotiation and establishment of global agreements between end customers and Swagelok Participating Distributors ensuring alignment across stakeholders. Proactively prioritizes and steers contract account objectives to anticipate and respond to evolving customer and distributor needs. Oversees the full contract lifecyclefrom strategy and drafting through negotiation execution and renewalserving as the executive point of accountability for contractual outcomes. Ensures all agreements advance business objectives comply with legal standards and effectively mitigate financial and legal risk to protect and strengthen the organizations position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Account Strategy

  • Lead and execute regional contract strategies aligned with global contracts strategic accounts and sales operations objectives.
  • Provide strategic oversight for multiple concurrent highvalue and highrisk global contract engagements across the region.
  • Represent regional priorities trends and risks to influence global contract strategy and decisionmaking at senior leadership forums.
  • Position Swagelok as a preferred strategic partner with senior leadership at EPC firms and owner/operator organizations through valuedriven contract structures.

2. Global Contract Account Management & Growth Enablement

  • Proactively manage Swagelok Global Contract Accounts by supporting local account plans that help distributors grow and retain sales including:
    • Building strong endcustomer relationships
    • Executing sales plans
    • Promoting new product commercialization
    • Driving eCommerce implementation
    • Establishing a global value proposition by account
  • For active Contract Accounts meet regularly with distributors and customer contacts to promote and maximize the use of Swagelok products.
  • Identify new product and sales opportunities within customer accounts.
  • Work with distributors to document and present the value proposition delivered to endcustomers.

3. Contract Negotiation & Commercial Terms

  • Analyze and interpret complex contract terms to identify and mitigate potential business and legal risks.
  • Negotiate supply agreements with contract accounts and support negotiation plan development for Strategic Accounts.
  • Support negotiation of unique terms and conditions between participating distributors and endcustomers when required.
  • Typical negotiation scope includes:
    • Discount rates
    • Product inclusions
    • Valueadded services
    • eCommerce provisions
    • Site conversion opportunities
    • Growth incentives
    • Payment terms

4. Contract Lifecycle & Governance

  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle including tracking key dates and managing renewals amendments and terminations.
  • Manage maintenance of existing accounts including:
    • Pricing changes and currency adjustments
    • Site list updates
    • Audit support
  • Ensure all global contract proposals conform to Swagelok policies legal requirements and standards of integrity.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & CrossFunctional Coordination

  • Act as the regional escalation point for complex commercial contractual and executionrelated issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal departments and external parties to clarify contractual obligations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate contract proposals with key internal stakeholders up to the Vice President level and support discussions on options and business impact.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional support to ensure excellent performance across all departments supporting the account.

6. Process Adherence & Distributor Advocacy

  • Follow established process maps for negotiations new account requests and reporting.
  • Ensure distributor interests are considered in alliance execution.
  • Ensure distributors clearly understand alliance proposals plans and tradeoffs so the interests of the broad distributor network are represented.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education: BS in business marketing or finance preferred

Experience: 7-10 years general business experience including 1-3 years working with large accounts

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous contract terms.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with others
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills especially Excel Word and Outlook
