The Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) is a partnership between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Fulton Hogan and WSP. The WTA is responsible for managing the maintenance and operations programme for the state highways and roading networks of the Greater Wellington Region and for delivering high service standards to the people and roading network of the region.

Join us as a Traffic Controller

As a Traffic Controller you will assist with the traffic management on site ensuring a strong commitment to safety. You will assist with site set up manage the safe flow of traffic around the work site.

We have positions available for nightshift position working a minimum of 40 hours from Sunday through Thursday.

In addition to the above you will:

Assist with temporary traffic management on various worksites in line with current codes of practice
Effectively communicate with the work site STMS/foremen to ensure smooth operation
Identify and eliminate hazards as per hazard identification sheet

Current TTM TMO qualifications or a commitment to achieving qualifications
Full Class 1 Licence non negotiable
Ideally Class 2 Licence
