Job Summary

Credit control in our organisation is inherently complex and sensitive due to the nature of the services we provide. Were now looking for someone to support our small credit control team on an 8-month fixed term contract basis (until December 2026). This role is less about traditional debt collection and more about empathetic respectful customer engagement.
Youll be responsible for following up on outstanding ambulance service charges or other commercial products in a highvolume environment. Most interactions are completed by phone supported by written communication or SMS.
This role would suit someone with strong callcentre or customer service experience excellent communication skills and a genuine people-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate customer credit records including payment histories and accounts status
- Proactively follow up with customers on overdue payments and reduce aged debt
- Escalate unresolved disputes and coordinate with billing sales or service teams to reach resolution and facilitate payment
- Contributing to credit control process improvements policies and performance metrics.
Qualifications :

- Strong experience in a highvolume callcentre or customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A calm respectful and empathetic approach even in sensitive situations
- Confidence handling a wide range of customer conversations
- Willingness to learn credit control processes (full training provided)
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A teamoriented mindset and positive attitude

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and full time hours preferred but we are open to considering part time hours if desired.
