You want a role where youre trusted backed and challenged. Were looking for a Traffic Controller TTM Crew to join our Traffic Management team in Auckland. Youll help keep our people and communities safe around our worksites set up and run live traffic management and play your part in delivering safer roads and better journeys across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Mō te tūranga About the role

This is a hands-on outdoor role at the sharp end of what we do. As a Traffic Controller youll be out on site with a tight-knit crew setting up and managing traffic management across the Auckland region. Most days the vibe is relaxed and down-to-earth but when the cones are out and the traffic is moving we switch on and get serious about safety. Youll see the impact of your work in real time helping people get where they need to go while we build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps Aotearoa moving.

• Operate stop/slow bats signage and automatic signals to keep vehicles and pedestrians moving safely

• Install maintain and remove traffic management devices signs cones barriers in line with approved TMPs

• Stay alert to changing site conditions and hazards and act quickly to keep everyone safe

• Work side by side with your STMS supervisors and site crews to keep things running smoothly and respond to incidents

• Take part in daily briefings understand the risks on each job and follow our safety processes

• Set up lane closures detours and full road or footpath closures to support a range of projects

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga Were looking for someone with

• A minimum Class 1 driver licence (preferred)

• A current TTM Worker ticket or equivalent (preferred)

• Experience as a Traffic Controller or in traffic management (ideal but if youve got the right attitude well teach you the ropes)

• Flexibility to work any 5 days out of 7 including days nights and some weekends when needed

• Good communication skills and a straight-up team-first mindset

• A strong focus on safety when the stakes are high you know how to switch on and do things right
