About the Team:

The Centre of Excellence in Paramedicine (CoEP) is a flagship initiative within Victoria Universitys External Relations and Partnerships Portfolio delivered in formal partnership with Ambulance Victoria. The team brings together senior academics researchers and industry experts to tackle complex challenges in emergency services paramedicine practice and community health.

The Centre delivers research education and innovation with a strong focus on codesign realworld impact and workforce-centred solutions. It works collaboratively with government community organisations and First Nations partners to drive system improvement and future workforce capability.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Program Manager for the Centre of Excellence in Paramedicine the Leadership and Training Hub Lead provides strategic leadership governance and impact oversight and drives the Centres leadership and training hub program. The role focuses on translating industry and system priorities into coherent ethical and high-impact learning programs while representing the Centre at senior institutional and sector levels.

The Leadership and Training Hub project is focused on providing micro-credential post qualification training in paramedicine and emergency management occupational priority areas such as leadership management cultural safety and mental health.

This role leads collaborative curriculum designprojectsinvolving industryacademicteams andprofessionalstaff. At all times the position will work to align the project stream with Victoria Universitys Strategic Plan 2022-2028 the CoEP Theory of Change and with The VU Block Model Principles contemporary pedagogical practices and effective use of VUs Learning Management System (LMS) and educational technologies.

Position Key Duties:

  • Leadandmanage post qualificationand micro-credentialcourse development and transformationprojectsfrominceptiontoimplementationapplying evidence-based design approaches suited to Higher Education and TAFE settings and for external partners and post qualification.
  • Negotiate with and manage external industry partners in relation to the development and adaption of post qualification training courses to specifically tailored to industry needs to develop leadership management operational and behavioral skills.
  • Facilitate collaborative curriculum co-design sessions with course teams students and industry partners to inform course architecture learning and assessment outcomes and delivery models
  • Provideexpertadviceoncurriculumdesignpedagogicalstrategiesauthenticassessmentand the integration of generative AI tools.

  • Guidethedevelopmentofcoherentcoursestructuresensuringconstructivealignmentof course learning outcomes unit learning outcomes and assessments.

  • Managetimelinesprojectresourcesstakeholderengagementandreportingacrossmultiple concurrent course transformation initiatives.

  • Ensure all course designs meet institutional quality standards comply with academic policies andareappropriatelypreparedforinternalapprovalandexternalaccreditationwhererequired.

Salary:HEP 10 $142441per annum (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions

  • Strongunderstandingofcoursedevelopmentprocessesincludingpolicyaccreditationandquality assurance requirements

  • Expertiseincontemporaryassessmentpracticeslearningoutcomesandconstructivealignment

  • KnowledgeofthehighereducationandvocationaleducationlandscapeinVictoriaandnationally

  • Understandingofdigitaltransformationandchangemanagementprinciplesineducationalcontexts

  • Comprehensiveknowledgeofuniversitypoliciesregulatorystandardsandaccessibilityguidelinesin learning design.

Experience in emergency services health systems workforce-focused research or large-scale universityindustry initiatives will be highly regarded as will experience embedding First Nations knowledges and culturally safe research practice.

The University is a Child Safe willbe requiredto hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior tocommencingemployment.
