SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Operations plans administers and directs all meal services operations. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients residents visitors and employees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  1. Develops implements and maintains trayline and retail operations
  2. Enforces quality control standards for patient food items including temperature food handling quality taste and presentation
  3. Develops schedules and assignments
  4. Supports operation of the nutrition services software system that manages retail and patient operations
  5. Monitors employee performance
  6. Responsible for staff training
  7. Responsible for supervising human resource finance and administrative positions
  8. Responsible for regulatory adherence
  9. Drives and Improves customer satisfaction
  10. Conducts quality assurance monitoring
  11. Responsible for adhering to sanitation requirements
  12. Develops policies and procedures related to all meal services and finances
  13. Develop and manage clinical performance improvement plans and activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. BS Degree preferred Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  2. 5-8 years previous management experience in large-scale/ high-volume food service operation required
  3. Serv-Safe Certification preferred
