  • We are seeking instructors for drumline visual brass and woodwind.

    The Band Camp Instructor will serve students during the summer Marching Band camp equipping them for success during the fall Marching Band season. A successful marching band requires instructors to help manage the many facets and after-school commitments that come with an excellent marching band program. Band Camp instructors are responsible for teaching and rehearsing a major faction within the Marching Band. These factions could be but are not limited to Percussion Front Ensemble and Marching Visuals.

    Band Camp instructors are present for approximately four (4) hours a day at the five (5) day long August Marching Band Camp.

    Band Camp instructors work with the Marching Band Director to determine the specifics of their work schedule based on the needs of the students and program.

    In addition to core duties instructors assist directors as needed with drill writing equipment maintenance and/or logistical management.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Enthusiasm for music and marching band.
    2. Availability for all related activities
    3. Demonstrates knowledge of assigned instrument/marching fundamentals.
    4. Organizational and motivational skills.
    5. Successful experience in teaching music/marching band.
    6. Willingness to support the overall music program.
    7. Classroom teacher is preferred but not required.

    This is a temporary timesheet position.
