Job Summary

Job Announcement:

The City of Websters Recreation Division is accepting applications for the position of Summer Camp Counselor. This position is responsible for the safety supervision and well-being of children in the Webster Day Camp program. The position will be responsible for interacting with children ages 6-12 while helping to provide an atmosphere that fosters cooperation growth and self-confidence. Camp counselors will also be responsible for implementing interactive game activities sports skills development helping with educational classes swimming going to the movies field trips computer lab arts & crafts and other City programs. Camp Counselors will work the 4th of July Celebration at Texas Avenue Park. Attendance is an essential function of this position. This is a temporary seasonal part-time position and is not eligible for City benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age. Prefer High School or College Students. Prior Camp Counselor experience is a plus.
Must be able to obtain American Heart Association First Aid/CPR certification.

Starting Salary:

$15.00 per hour
