WHATSTHEOPPORTUNITY
Through the Canada Summer Jobs Program we are looking to bring on a newHuman Resources Assistantto join Camino Wellbeing Mental Health.As an HR Assistant you will work closely with Caminos Talent Development Team to support key HR activities while developing your skills and experience in the field. This role provides opportunities to learn build curiosity and grow as youassistwith recruitment onboarding HRIS updates employee documentation and general administrative support.
Reporting to the Program Lead Talent Development you will help coordinate candidate pre-screens and interviews prepare new hire packagesmaintainaccurateemployee records support Payroll documentation needs andassistwith a variety of team projects. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and contribute within a collaborative and supportive HR environment.

WHATYOULLBEDOING:
- Support the Talent Development Team in a variety of HR functions gaining hands-on experience and opportunities to learn and grow in the field of human resources.
- Assistwith recruitment activities including helping to draft job postings conducting telephone prescreens scheduling interviews coordinating reference checks and supporting hiring leaders throughout the process.
- Support Caminos employee onboarding process by preparing new hire packages andassistingwith new hire documentation
- Helpmaintainand update employee information in the HRIS ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while learning established processes and standards.
- Assistwith processing employee changes such as internal transfers status updates and offboarding tasks.
- Provide support to Payroll by helping respond to timesheet entries and inquiries.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Talent Development Team as.
WHATWERELOOKINGFOR:
- Enrolled in/Completion of a post-secondary HR program HR certificate or equivalent education/experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) digital communication tools and online research.
- HRIS experience considered an asset
- Ability to analyze information apply learnings and propose thoughtful solutions.
- High levelof professionalism and the ability tomaintainconfidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Sound judgment particularlyregardingemployee related considerations
- Strong communicationskills with the ability to collaborate effectively and navigate situations requiring tact and discretion.
- Ability to travel between organizational sites within Kitchener Waterloo
- Valid Criminal and Judicial Matters Check.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
These positions are dependent on receiving funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program and therefore applicants must meet the following requirements should the application be approved:
- Between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of employment
- Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under theImmigration and Refugee Protection Actfor the duration of employment
- Hold a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canadain accordance withrelevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Full-Time Camino employees are ineligible for Canada Summer Jobs funded positions
