The Opportunity

As a Value Engineer within the JAPAC Ultimate Success team you will partner closely with Value Advisors and Account Teams to build rigorous defensible financial models that quantify the measurable business impact of Adobes solutions.

Your mandate is to ensure that every value claim from revenue uplift to retention improvement and operational efficiency is supported by structured assumptions credible benchmarks and CFO-ready modelling. You will operate at the intersection of finance analytics and strategy translating complex product capabilities and customer data into clear economic impact models that withstand executive scrutiny.

This role is less about leading the room and more about ensuring that when we enter it our numbers are airtight.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling & Quantification

  • Build robust return on investment NPV payback and scenario-based financial models to quantify revenue growth retention impact cost efficiencies and productivity gains.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and assumption testing to ensure models remain defensible under CFO-level scrutiny.
  • Structure value levers clearly and prevent double-counting across impact areas.
  • Translate marketing commerce and experience metrics into financial outcomes (margin impact lifetime value cost avoidance).
  • Develop scalable modelling templates and tools to standardise value calculations across the region.

Value Workshops and Business Case Development

  • Partner with Value Advisors and Account Teams to convert strategic value hypotheses into quantified economic impact to support Value Workshops and Business case development.
  • Document assumptions transparently and apply conservative modelling principles to maintain credibility.
  • Reconcile customer-supplied data with benchmarks and Adobe telemetry to ensure integrity of outputs.
  • Support renewals and expansion cases with defensible financial analysis.
  • Prepare executive-ready financial summaries that simplify complex modelling into clear decision-support outputs.
  • Be able to explain communicate and answer questions on the business case or models to customer executives.

Value Realisation Analytics

  • Track realised versus projected value across use cases adoption and Net Dollar Retention (N$R).
  • Analyse performance data to identify value at risk underperformance drivers and incremental growth opportunities.
  • Support quarterly business reviews with updated financial insights and scenario updates.
  • Maintain structured measurement frameworks to ensure consistent value tracking across strategic accounts.

Benchmarking & Methodology

  • Understand and leverage existing Adobe tools to support Value modelling
  • Maintain and refine regional industry benchmarks and modelling assumptions.
  • Incorporate new Adobe product capabilities into financial impact models.
  • Contribute to the evolution of JAPAC value modelling frameworks templates and playbooks.
  • Support automation and AI-enabled modelling to scale analytical output while maintaining rigor.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Value Advisors Sales Ultimate Success teams and Professional Services to ensure alignment between strategy and quantification.
  • Act as the quantitative authority during value workshops renewal planning and expansion conversations.
  • Provide internal coaching on modelling rigor and financial logic.
  • Help embed value thinking into lifecycle planning and expansion strategies.

What you bring:

  • 510 years of experience in FP&A Commercial Finance Deals Advisory Valuations Strategy Consulting Corporate Development or Value Engineering.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability (expert Excel skills required; experience with scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis essential).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS economics marketing return on investment retention modelling and unit economics.
  • Proven experience building defensible arguments for enterprise technology or digital transformation programs.
  • High analytical rigor and comfort challenging assumptions.
  • Ability to translate complex financial analysis into crisp executive-ready outputs.
  • Experience supporting executive-level discussions (not necessarily leading them).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud (Customer Experience Orchestration) or similar Martech ecosystems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (especially advanced Excel).
