Job Summary

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Materials and Procurement Coordinator to drive timely and efficient procurement for their organisational projects
Salary and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee procurement execution for projects ensuring materials equipment and services are delivered on time within scope and budget.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Procurement Plan (PPP) including procurement schedules lead times PR dates RFx dates award/PO dates and delivery dates.
  • Monitor procurement milestones with the Project Manager to ensure alignment with project stage gates.
  • Identify procurement logistics and commercial risks; implement mitigation actions and maintain a live risk log.
  • Review PRs and supporting documents to ensure alignment with scope budget and project schedule.
  • Coordinate technical adjudications and provide final approval on supplier selections after verification.
  • Support preparation of contract and purchase documentation packs ensuring compliance with key commercial terms.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement procedures including initiation receipt issuance and stock control.
  • Maintain traceability and accountability through proper documentation including PRs RFx packs adjudications approvals POs delivery notes GRVs and contract documents.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure timely payment for materials and services.
  • Maintain and report procurement performance via trackers including delivery risk flags and progress updates.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve order amendments or disputes.
  • Attend project progress meetings and present concise procurement updates highlighting critical path items and risks.
Key Skills:
  • Strong procurement planning and coordination aligned to project schedules.
  • Commercial and financial awareness including budget tracking and invoice/payment management.
  • Understanding of contracting concepts: scope deliverables warranties LDs bonds and insurances.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with suppliers contractors and project teams.
  • Analytical with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and procurement tracking tools.
  • Time management and the ability to handle multiple projects and high volumes of orders concurrently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication for reporting escalation and progress updates.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Procurement Project Management Business Engineering Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Procurement or supply chain professional qualification (e.g. CIPS) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement coordination expediting or materials management within projects construction mining engineering or industrial environments.
