Job Description
As a Security Officer - Overnights - Experience Required in Lake Forest IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will help coordinate security-related activity by monitoring systems managing radios and calls tracking officer status and supporting access control and badging. You will be a key communication hub documenting incidents and sharing timely updates with site leadership and field teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures post orders and site-specific policies at an industrial location.
- Operate dispatch functions including monitoring radios telephones alarms and/or camera systems; route calls for service and coordinate responses per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
- Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation maintain accurate logs and support security-related investigations by preserving notes and available video and/or access records.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas warehouses yards and perimeter areas as assigned noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance hazards and/or policy concerns through the chain of command.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years law enforcement experience or 2 years security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years security experience.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
