Job Summary
Join our dynamic and highly skilled team of Lobby Ambassadors & Dog Handlers at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with dogs and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Our lobby ambassadors are the backbone of our Golden Friends of the Fairmont Program responsible for providing excellent care to our four-legged partners as well as supporting them in various operational and Guest service activities.
Reporting to the Manager of Resort Experience responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and handle one or multiple lobby dogs in various guest service welcoming interactions and activities
- Maintain accurate daily reports of the lobby dogs behaviors interactions and health status
- Anticipate guests needs creating memorable experiences
- Consistently offer a professional friendly greeting and engaging service
- Display precise knowledge of all event activities and experience inclusions
- Follow all policies procedures and service standards
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Ensure Five Diamond representation of resort
- Assist guests with directional in an informative and helpful way
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Passion for Animals
- Physical ability to handle and control a lobby dog in various situations
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours)
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Available evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs always remaining calm and courteous
- Prior experience as a dog handler or in a related field working with and caring for animals (preferred)
