Provide senior-level coordination and technical leadership for Operational Excellence (OE) Risk Management & Assurance (RM&A) and compliance activities within the Technology Projects & Execution (TPE) organization. Ensure alignment with Chevron OE standards regulatory requirements and corporate governance processes. Driving risk management strategies analyzing and summarizing risks developing risk-based assurance plans and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational integrity and safety performance across operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate OE RM&A and compliance programs across TPE functions and projects.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers assurance plans and tracking tools and systems.
  • Monitor and report risk and assurance performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage the inputs of risk and assurance data in the relevant Systems of Record (SoR) and/or digital tools.
  • Assist in incident prevention initiatives and integrate lessons learned into OE risk and assurance processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to TPE teams on OE risk and assurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers engineering teams and HSE specialists to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Participate in Risk Management and Assurance Communities of Practice (CoP) to share best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance risk management and assurance practices.
  • Support internal and external assurance activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Safety Management or related field.
  • 58 years of experience in risk management compliance or OE coordination within oil & gas operations or major projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OEMS frameworks risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for risk and compliance tracking (e.g. Power BI OE dashboards Assurance Digital systems).
  • Clear and effective communication for training and reporting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with TPE operations and project governance processes.
  • Experience in risk analysis compliance audits and OE implementation.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for risk and compliance tracking (e.g. Power BI OE dashboards Assurance Digital systems).
  • Strong collaboration and mentoring skills within engineering and HSE teams.
  • Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)/ISO 31000
