- Lead and oversee the Sri Lanka Operations team comprising 100 employees across network security IT and delivery functions.
- Partner with Australian Leadership Teams to define and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with People & Culture and internal leadership teams to attract develop and retain top talent.
- Drive achievement of KPIs while continuously improving performance standards and operational efficiency.
- Lead coach and mentor teams to ensure high performance in a cost-effective and scalable manner.
- Deliver clear concise and timely executive-level communications and reports.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation AI-driven monitoring and process optimization.
- Establish structured training and professional development programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition teams to recruit high-quality talent and strengthen team capacity particularly within NOC functions.
- Ensure operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and strong governance practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading large-scale operations teams within a technology-driven organization.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated experience in talent development leadership coaching and building high-performance teams.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to deliver executive-level insights and reporting.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications networks monitoring systems and ITIL processes.
- Experience in incident problem and change management frameworks.
- Knowledge of network automation observability tools and AI/ML-driven operations (preferred).
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage complex situations effectively and diplomatically.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
