Position Overview:
As the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our companys purchasing activities. This includes sourcing and procuring products negotiating with suppliers managing inventory levels and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will work closely with our suppliers and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and ensure the highest quality products are being delivered to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company objectives
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of products
- Work closely with internal teams to understand product needs and forecast demand
- Review and approve purchase orders and ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliveries
- Manage and track supplier performance and address any issues that may arise
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions to ensure competitive pricing
- Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures
- Oversee the purchasing budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Train and supervise purchasing staff providing guidance and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business supply chain management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management
- Experience in the beauty or wellness industry is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with purchasing software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven leadership and team management skills
