We are seeking a qualified individual with industry experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Building Engineer or the Account Manager-Engineering theMaintenance Technicianwill be tasked with general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment and property structures as well as grounds maintenance. Candidates must pass a background check possess a valid Hawaii drivers license access to a reliable vehicle previous hands-on maintenance experience proficiency in light plumbing electrical work HVAC carpentry and painting/drywall all tasks must be performed in accordance with EPA Hazmat and OSHA safety regulations. Excellent communication skills and the capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team are crucial. -Position:Maintenance Technician

-Location:Honolulu HI 96816 (Kaimuki - Oahu)

-Schedule:Monday to Friday: 6:30am to 3:00pm

**Subjective to emergencies: after hours weekends and holidays**

-Compensation per hour:$25.00

-Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative general maintenance inspections and repairs: painting drywall plumbing electrical (light replacement/ballast driver replacement) mechanical and HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning)/Chiller Readings/AC install (window units) and grounds maintenance.

Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers vendors customers etc.

Able to lift push pull a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs walk bend stretch during shift

Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.

Create and maintain work orders

Create and maintain purchase orders

Ability to work in warm/hot conditions utilize stairs and navigate up and down a ladder.

Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM)supervisor/property management

Ability to work in hot conditions utilize stairs and navigate up and down a ladder.

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass background check.

Must have a valid Hawaii drivers license and a reliable vehicle.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Must have basic hand tools.

General preventative maintenance experience is required (Basic commercial plumbing electricalHVAC carpentry painting and drywall).

Troubleshooting abilities.

Mechanical aptitude.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Must have good public relations skills and communication.

Customer service oriented.

Strong organizational skills.

Applicants must perform basic manual labor clean common areas frequently lift press push pull carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 80lbs) be able to reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb stretch walk walk up and down a stairway climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.
