Were looking for a driven Site Engineer to join our Wellington based Heavy Civils & Structures team on some of the regions most exciting infrastructure projects. Fulton Hogan is kicking off a new civil infrastructure project in Plimmerton.

Help us deliver critical water infrastructure including reservoir structures for the Wellington region and be part of a project that really matters to the local community.

If you enjoy complex engineering challenges and delivering lasting public assets this role is for you.

This project is scheduled to run through to 27 June 2027 offering solid hands-on experience in water infrastructure delivery.

The Work Youll Be Doing

Our Civil business specialises in reinforced concrete and heavy civil infrastructure. Youll be part of a team delivering technically challenging large-scale projects that make a real difference to how people live travel and access essential services.

In addition to the above you will:

Coordinate and oversee daily site activities to ensure smooth progress of all works.
Organise and develop construction methodologies and work programs to deliver the project on schedule and to specification.
Identify and solve engineering problems quickly and effectively.
Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor services to meet project needs.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the project life-cycle.
Champion Fulton Hogans safety-first culture by promoting and enforcing safe work practices to protect the wellbeing of everyone on site.

Were looking for someone with:

Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in heavy civil construction or major infrastructure projects.
Tertiary qualification in civil engineering (BE NZCE or Diploma).
Strong ability to plan and develop construction methodologies and work programmes.
Proven subcontractor management and resource optimisation (materials plant labour).
A collaborative attitude solid communication skills and a genuine interest in building complex civil structures safely and to a high standard.
