Job Overview:
Syra Health is seeking Licensed Mental Health Therapists to provide quality mental and behavioral health services to clients in the state of Maryland using Syra Healths telehealth platforms. The successful candidate will work on an as-needed basis providing telehealth services as requested. The role involves providing mental health care to clients with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to clients via telehealth through Syra Healths Syrenity app.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients through secure messaging phone calls or video conferencing.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the provision of mental health services.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Know how to use the following software: scheduling EHR diagnosis billing and telehealth.
- Maintain licensures and certification(s) as required by licensing agencies and associations in the state of practice. Part-time position with flexible hours.
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters degree in psychology counseling or social work
- State licensure - LMHT LMHC; LMFT; LCSW; LPCC
- Should have individual professional malpractice liability insurance policy.
- Individual NPI number and allowed to practice independently.
- Knowledge of principles methods and procedures for diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions and for career counseling and guidance
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability personality and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable providing telehealth services via video conferencing and other secure platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing as needed behavioral and mental health services.
- Specialized training or certification in areas such as clinical mental health counseling addiction counseling trauma therapy or marriage and family therapy
- Experience working with higher education students.
