Job Description:
- Position: Environment Health & Safety Lead
- Location: Moses Lake WA
- Duration: Full Time / Permanent
Role:
- The EH&S Lead will play a critical role in establishing and leading all environmental health and safety programs at the site.
- This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance building a strong safety culture and partnering across teams to support safe and efficient plant operations.
- This is a highly visible hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to build systems influence culture and make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of all EH&S programs across the site
- Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Develop safety policies procedures and training programs
- Conduct risk assessments audits and incident investigations
- Partner with operations engineering and leadership to embed safety into daily operations
- Manage environmental permits reporting and regulatory inspections
- Monitor track and improve EH&S performance metrics
- Drive a proactive behaviour-based safety culture
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in environmental health & safety Engineering or related field
- 5 10 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing chemical energy or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Experience leading EH&S programs at the site level
- Proven ability to influence teams and drive safety initiatives
Preferred Experience
- Experience in chemical processing or high-hazard environments
- CSP or CIH certification
- Startup greenfield or rapidly scaling facility experience
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
