Job Summary
Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) Nights
Location: Zanesville OH (Genesis Healthcare System)
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) 3x12s (36 hrs/week)
Start Dates: May 18 2026 or June 15 2026
Job Type: Contract (Quick Start)
We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient psychiatric facility. The RN will primarily care for adult patients with some adolescent population and must be comfortable working in a charge role when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Assess monitor and document patient conditions and progress
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Manage crisis situations and support de-escalation
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams
- Perform charge nurse duties as required
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
- Active Ohio RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Prior Behavioral Health experience (Preferred)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training (Preferred)
- Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems
- Willingness to work charge role
- 3x12-hour night shifts (7P 7A)
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Additional 24 hours of on-call over a 6-week period

- Trauma Level: Level III
- EMR System: EPIC
- Facility may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission
