Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Advisor with 35 years of post-qualification experience to provide legal support across the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts supporting real estate transactions ensuring regulatory compliance and advising on legal risks affecting business operations.
Location: VI Lagos
Key Responsibilities
Draft review and manage contracts agreements and other legal documentation.
Prepare and review legal documents relating to real estate and property transactions.
Provide legal advice to management on business operations compliance and risk management.
Support regulatory and statutory compliance across the companys business units.
Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial documentation.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and briefs when required.
Liaise with external counsel regulators and relevant stakeholders.
Support dispute resolution litigation processes and legal proceedings where necessary.
Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB).
35 years relevant legal experience preferably in corporate or commercial environments.
Strong experience in legal drafting and contract management.
Experience handling real estate documentation and transactions is highly desirable.
Good understanding of corporate and commercial law.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and research skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
