This is a newly created enterprise critical leadership role with a clear mandate to transform how MyState engages with its existing customers.

The Opportunity

As Head of Customer Growth you will own the strategy and execution of customer growth across the entire customer lifecycle from onboarding and engagement through to retention loyalty and win back.

This is a high impact cross bank role with stakeholders spanning Product Risk Digital Branches Lending and Funding. You will influence how work is prioritised how customer journeys are shaped and how core banking processes evolve to deliver better outcomes for customers and the organisation.

This role is not focused on marketing campaigns alone. It is about fixing what gets in the way of great customer experiences simplifying complex processes and ensuring MyState is front of mind when customers think about their financial needs.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Setting and leading the existing customer growth and retention strategy across MyState
  • Improving customer engagement retention rates and customer lifetime value
  • Ensuring customer experiences are consistently simple seamless and positive across all channels
  • Identifying opportunities to deepen customer relationships through improved products journeys and propositions
  • Leading cross functional change across Product Risk Technology and frontline teams
  • Playing an active role in decisions impacting core banking platforms and customer processes
  • Using data and customer insights to prioritise effort improve outcomes and reduce friction
  • Ensuring customer growth initiatives align with regulatory conduct and risk obligations
  • Building and leading a high performing team focused on customer outcomes and sustainable commercial impact

The Leader We Are Looking For

This role will suit a senior leader who has built their career at the intersection of customer experience customer growth and operational execution within a bank or similarly regulated financial services environment.

You are likely to bring:

  • Experience in a comparable senior role within a bank mutual organisation or large regulated institution
  • A strong track record in customer retention customer engagement or lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across complex stakeholder environments
  • Experience working with Product Risk Branch Lending and Funding teams to deliver meaningful change
  • A practical mindset for improving processes and removing friction not just designing strategies
  • Strong commercial judgement balanced with a deep commitment to customer outcomes and fair treatment

Most importantly you understand that great customer growth comes from getting the fundamentals right consistently and at scale.
