Job Summary
As Head of Claims this role leads how TAL delivers on its promise for AustralianSuper ensuring members receive timely compassionate and dependable support at critical moments in their lives. It shapes a progressive claims strategy that strengthens trust elevates service excellence and deepens longterm partnerships. By inspiring highperforming teams and continuously improving the member experience the role plays a meaningful part in TALs purpose of helping Australians protect what matters most while supporting sustainable growth for our partners and our business.
In this role you will:
- Deliver service excellence by consistently meeting and exceeding fund partner claims commitments.
- Strengthen strategic partnerships by aligning TALs claims proposition to fund objectives and expectations.
- Lead claims strategy evolution to support member outcomes retention and sustainable growth.
- Champion customercentric delivery through continuous improvement and effective claims governance.
- Build highperforming teams by uplifting capability engagement and leadership across the claims workforce.
- Safeguard trust and reputation through sound judgement risk oversight and ethical claims outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Proven senior leadership experience in life insurance or financial services with the confidence to lead complex claims environments.
Deep technical expertise in life insurance claims with a demonstrable claimsfirst background and endtoend ownership of complex claims portfolios.
- Strong commercial judgement making balanced decisions that support members partners and sustainable business outcomes.
- Working knowledge of superannuation funds and partner models enabling effective trustbased collaboration.
- Clear organisational and prioritisation skills staying focused and effective in a fastmoving highimpact role.
- Valuesled leadership approach acting with integrity accountability and care for customers partners and teams.
