Role Summary

As an AI Engineer on the AIMS team youll sit at the intersection of AI engineering and marketing innovation. Youll partner directly with marketers and product stakeholders to turn early-stage ideas into scalable AI-powered tools that drive measurable business impact. This role blends hands-on development with creative problem-solving building production-ready systems that bring LLMs multi-agent workflows and modern cloud infrastructure into real-world marketing applications.

What Youll Do

1. Develop and deploy high-quality software and cloud-based infrastructure for AI-driven marketing applications.
   
   
2. Partner with marketers and product stakeholders to translate ideas into prototypes and scalable AI tools.
   
   
3. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using technologies such as and Python.
   
   
4. Design and implement data pipelines retrieval systems (RAG) and multi-agent workflows leveraging LLMs.
   
   
5. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and rapidly test concepts to inform HubSpots marketing innovation roadmap.
   
   
6. Assess AI project ideas for technical feasibility scalability and potential business impact.
   
   
7. Document AI systems architectural decisions and best practices to ensure maintainability and clarity.
   
   
8. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences with confidence and precision.
   
   
9. Collaborate across engineering data science and marketing teams to bring AI-powered workflows to life.
   
   
10. Contribute to a culture of experimentation learning and technical excellence across the AIMS team.
    
    

What Youll Bring

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of professional software development experience or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
  
  
• Strong proficiency in backend development using and/or Python.
  
  
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with databases.
  
  
• Experience applying Generative AI concepts (LLMs prompt engineering RAG multi-agent systems) to real-world problems.
  
  
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure.
  
  
• Familiarity with marketing technology ecosystems (e.g. CRM systems workflow automation tools CDPs or data warehouses).
  
  
• Experience using version control systems (Git) and modern software development workflows.
  
  
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with AI frameworks and tooling (e.g. OpenAI APIs transformers vector databases LangChain).
  
  
• Background in Java or experience with multi-agent systems.
  
  
• Experience with the HubSpot platform or similar marketing automation software.
  
  
• Experience building or orchestrating multi-agent systems.
  
  
• Demonstrated curiosity and a growth mindset for learning emerging AI technologies.
