Job Summary:
To provide administrative and clerical support to school site administrator and assigned personnel; to communicate information regarding school and/or district functions; and to ensure compliance with financial legal and administrative requirements of assigned functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform secretarial functions (i.e. typing filing recordkeeping etc) for the purpose of assisting school administrator and assigned personnel
- Respond to inquiries (students parents teachers district personnel general public etc) to communicate procedures information and/or direction and/or to evaluate situations to take appropriate action according to established guidelines
- Compile data from a variety of sources (i.e. timesheets requisitions student enrollment student attendance cash deposits etc) and prepare reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial legal and/or administrative requirements
- Compose documents and/or written materials (i.e. correspondence newsletters memos minutes etc) to communicate and convey information to students parents teachers etc
- Process and/or prepare documents and materials (i.e. PARFs requisitions timesheets transcripts incoming/outgoing mail etc) to disseminate information in compliance with district state and/or federal regulations
- Schedule and coordinate activities (i.e. appointments meetings calendars etc) for assigned personnel
- Secure substitute personnel as needed to ensure staffing requirements are met for the efficient operation of site activities
- Establish and maintain accurate site files and records in accordance with district state and/or federal regulations
- Maintain and order supplies and materials ensuring availability; monitor budget expenditures in compliance with district state and/or federal guidelines
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- May direct or guide other personnel assigned to site
- Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
Required Qualifications:
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous related work experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Typically based in the schools main office or administrative area
- Frequent contact with students parents teachers and administratorsrequiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Regularly interacts with the principal assistant principal faculty and district personnel.
- Manages multiple tasks simultaneouslyanswering phones handling paperwork scheduling etc.

- Positions in this classification often require physical activities such as stooping kneeling crouching standing walking and sitting
