At Ipsen we are currently looking for a Marketing Head based in Lisbon.
Following the companys overall strategies as well as all working procedures and policies (both local and corporate) applicable legislation and ethical and compliance standards the Marketing Head will be responsible
responsible for defining and executing the strategic marketing plans for the brands under his/her responsibility ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and successful launch preparation across therapeutic areas.
The role drives brand strategy market insights and tactical execution to maximize product performance strengthen stakeholder engagement and support sustainable business growth in full compliance with Ipsen policies and industry regulations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Strategic Brand Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of brand strategies and annual brand plans in alignment with Country and Global priorities.
- Define positioning value proposition and key messaging based on customer insights scientific evidence and market dynamics.
- Ensure coherent strategic planning across therapeutic areas and contribute to the overall country strategy.
- Monitor brand performance versus objectives and adjust strategies accordingly.
Launch Planning & Readiness
- Lead pre-launch preparation and ensure successful product launches through structured launch planning and readiness tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch activities with Medical Market Access Sales and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of launch strategy with Global and Iberia teams.
Market & Customer Insights
- Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Translate insights from Key Account Managers (KAMs) Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and other stakeholders into actionable marketing strategies.
- Drive customer-centric initiatives based on deep understanding of healthcare professional needs and market dynamics.
Marketing Execution & Omnichannel Engagement
- Manage development and execution of marketing campaigns promotional materials and digital initiatives.
- Ensure effective omnichannel engagement strategies to maximize reach and impact.
- Oversee congress strategy promotional activities and customer engagement initiatives.
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage the brand budget ensuring optimal allocation of resources and return on investment.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to track brand impact and marketing effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Medical Affairs Market Access & Public Affairs and Finance to ensure integrated execution of brand strategies.
- Act as key liaison with Iberia and Global Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment and effective implementation of global initiatives.
Ethics & Compliance
- Ensure all marketing activities are conducted in full compliance with Ipsen SOPs internal policies and applicable national regulations and industry codes.
- Promote a culture of ethical promotion and responsible engagement with stakeholders.
Key Technical Competencies Required:
- Strategic Marketing: Ability to define and execute brand strategies based on market and customer insights.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Skilled at leading and aligning Sales Medical Market Access and global teams.
- Customer & Market Insight: Strong analytical skills to translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
- Execution Excellence: Proven ability to manage launches campaigns budgets and KPIs effectively.
- Digital & Omnichannel: Knowledge of digital channels and integrated marketing approaches.
- Ethics & Compliance: Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to industry regulations.
Education:
- University degree in Health Sciences/Economics is required.
- Postgraduate / Masters is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Marketing positions.
- Experience in managing and collaborating with external stakeholders.
- Experience in cross-functional working environments.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across functions with key decision-makers in medium and large hospital organizations and/or national institutions in order to generate business opportunities.
Languages:
- Portuguese and English: working proficiency.
- Spanish is desirable
