Job Description:

Drive transformational change across Sun Lifes independent advisor channel.

In this strategic leadership position youll oversee our change management capability driving adoption of new initiatives while building a high-performing team of change consultants.

Youll work at the intersection of strategy and execution partnering with senior leaders to ensure smooth implementation of key business initiatives that deliver measurable impact.

What will you do

Change Management & Strategy

  • Direct the design and execution of comprehensive change management strategies across Retail Advice & Solutions (RA&S) distribution channels with a focus on the independent advisor channel.

  • Partner with learning and development teams to create targeted training that builds the skills and behaviours needed for successful change

  • Identify adoption barriers and execution risks early working collaboratively across functions to develop mitigation strategies

  • Define success metrics and create dashboards that track change progress dependencies and business impact

Communications & Engagement

  • Develop clear compelling communication strategies that ensure consistent messaging across all stakeholder groups

  • Translate complex change into accessible relevant communications for advisors teams and leadership

  • Deploy targeted communications through appropriate channels ensuring timeliness and accuracy

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead coach and develop a team of change management professionals through continuous feedback and career development

  • Build change management capability across the retail organization through training mentoring and best practice sharing

  • Foster a high-performing inclusive team culture that attracts and retains top talent

What do you need to succeed

Experience & Expertise

  • 8 years in business/organizational roles ideally in insurance wealth management or financial services

  • Proven success leading change management for large-scale programs and complex transformations

  • Change management certification (Prosci ACMP or CMI preferred) or equivalent demonstrated expertise

  • University degree in business or related discipline

  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution capability

  • Strong business acumen with data-driven decision making

  • Exceptional influencing and relationship management skills

  • Ability to coach and mentor through change

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

  • As this position is posted in several locations we specify that bilingualism (French English both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position includes managing both French and English-speaking staff (Quebec and outside Quebec) and providing daily support to the team.

Nice-to-Have Skills - Knowledge of adult learning principles and training delivery experience - Project management certification or experience

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
