Northeast Counseling Services is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. This position assists with payroll processing accounts payable and receivable billing and financial reporting while working closely with the Accounting Director to ensure accurate and timely accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll and assist with general bookkeeping functions
Enter and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
Verify vendor invoices and expense reports for accuracy
Prepare monthly billing and compile statistical data for reports
Assist with quarterly financial processes including pension contribution reporting and client balance adjustments
Prepare financial and administrative reports as directed
Qualifications:
High school diploma with a minimum of one year bookkeeping or business related experience.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with accounting software and standard office applications.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
