Procurement Leader
Job Summary
What you will do
- Manage procurement DM material team activities to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
- Ensure daily procurement activities for local and overseas markets are efficient and effective.
- Comply with Global Procurement policies and procedures and cascade the information to Business Partner.
- Take lead on supplier souring with best CQD(costqualitydelivery) and agreement sign back.
- Ensure price accuration/reasonable & maintain in time for daily new parts and price adjustment per market material price for index/Econ material
- Liaise with relevant government bodies e.g. custom matters freight MIDA etc. when required.
- Provide transparent leadership engagement through daily action that relates to environmental health and safety (EHS) improvement.
- Participate in local operation meeting cooperate plant team to ensure supplier delivery can fulfill customer order requirement
- Cost down management via negotiation/VAVE to meet DM saving target maintain monthly actual saving to WAVE system
- Support APAC TWC improvement target
- Manage monthly PPV outlook for DM/Index/Econ material to align with APAC team & Finance.
How you will do it
- Builds and implement strategic sourcing plan that fosters continuous improvement in supply chain cost quality and delivery.
- Serves as the principal authority and liaison for the company with suppliers on business objectives: Advises the negotiation of supply contracts identifies and approves suppliers and purchase prices in the company purchasing system.
- Ensures suppliers operating principles meet the companys requirements: Audits the suppliers costs financial performance manufacturing and technical capabilities to identify process and product improvement opportunities.
- Coordinates supplier collaboration with engineering quality and material personnel in product development projects quality and delivery improvement.
- To perform and contribute to other duties and activities assigned by the supervisor
What we look for
- Bachelors degree in engineering or Technical related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in sourcing and/or quality in manufacturing industry
- Experience in project management.
- Detailed knowledge of procurement procedures and policies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin language is an added advantage (Preferred).
- User experience in ERP system e.g. SAP and etc.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively lead people of any level under all conditions.
- Logistics knowledge (ocean shipment airfreight bonded warehousing container language/types customs & relevant authorities documentation
- Detailed understanding of procurement policy and procedure including purchasing shipping delivery receiving preparing and issuing
- Understanding of the sales and production cycle of the air-conditioning industry and be able to comply with the procurement activities for best industry practice
- Knowledge on ISO9001 ISO14001 5S and production safety policy and procedure
- Accept business trip arrangements
