DescriptionJob Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up IE systems to support manufacturing.
- Supervise and develop staff.
- Develop/maintain model for capacity planning incorporating both equipment and labor variables.
- Establish plant capacity report/weekly updates
- Ensuring check & balance between forecast requirement vs factory installed capacity
- Develop an efficient plant layout by taking into consideration equipment requirements and product flow and optimum cycle time.
- Lead line balancing activities when needed
- Identify & coordinate projects to improve productivity and cost savings.
- Project coordination also involved layout planning/design/timeline commitment and meeting with external/internal workers
- To stay up to date on latest developments and trends in Industrial Engineering
- Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Develop and maintain equipment database
- Ensure compliance to Safety ESD Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
Education & Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or its equivalents with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in Industrial engineering (functional skills)
Skills
- Leadership capabilities to manage a virtual team or as working player to drive operation improvement
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
- AutoCAD knowledge.
- Analytical and able to interact at all levels.
- MTM MOST or other work measurement methods.
- Cost conscious.
- Well organized
