Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee our vehicles and equipment coordinate maintenance and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong grasp of mechanical systems able to manage paperwork efficiently and lead the team by example while providing clear direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily fleet operations including scheduling maintenance and repairs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including inspection logs maintenance schedules and compliance documents
- Coordinate with mechanics and vendors to ensure timely cost-effective repairs
- Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Provide leadership and training to drivers mechanics and support staff
- Lead by example while offering clear direction and constructive feedback
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fleet management or a related field
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics and maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required)
