About the role

The PMO Lead is responsible for establishing managing and continuously improving project programme and portfolio management standards across the organisation. This role ensures effective planning governance delivery assurance resource planning and performance reporting to enable predictable highquality project outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and maintaining the project programme and portfolio governance framework and tooling.
  • Ensuring consistent quality standards across all delivery initiatives.
  • Leading portfolio reporting including status risk financial and benefit tracking.
  • Supporting prioritisation and investment decisions through robust analysis.
  • Facilitating steering committees and governance boards.
  • Providing delivery assurance reviews health checks and project audits.
  • Enforcing compliance with policies while enabling practical flexible delivery.
  • Ensuring resource management processes are effective and transparent.
  • Providing project management support and training where required.

Outcomes

The PMO Lead will be accountable for delivering the following measurable outcomes:

  • A consistently applied project and programme delivery framework across all initiatives.
  • Accurate timely and actionable reporting on portfolio performance risks financials and resource utilisation.
  • Improved project delivery success rates (on time on budget within scope and aligned to quality standards).
  • A mature and simple governance structure with clear decision-making pathways and controls.
  • A wellsupported Project and Product community with access to tools templates guidance and coaching.
  • Predictable resource planning and forecasting to support prioritisation and capacity management.
  • Well-defined project and program plans across the portfolio.
  • Enhanced visibility of strategic alignment across the project portfolio including facilitation of planning and consolidation of portfolio reporting.

  • Skilled in multiproject reporting dashboard creation and performance metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including executivelevel reporting.
